In 2020, many employers asked employees to work from home in order to control the spread of the COVID 19 virus. By May, approximately 37 percent of all Canadians worked from home, according to Statistics Canada. Although that number fell to 22 percent by December of 2021, plenty of employers recognized that workers could be equally competent when they worked autonomously from their houses or apartments.
